In 2013, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and a thyroid imbalance. My doctor recommended exercise along with some medications. Around the same time, a friend encouraged me to sign up for a marathon. Instead of relying solely on medication, I began running to prepare for the race and started eating healthier. Within three months, I lost 5 kg, and my PCOS and thyroid issues were naturally resolved. I fell in love with running and completed my first half marathon.
Fast forward to 2017, a year after having a baby. Although I had lost some pregnancy weight, I wasn't fit. Determined to regain my fitness, I resumed running and began losing weight. After moving to Jaipur in November 2017, I connected with local runners who inspired me to run more regularly. As a result, I returned to my pre-pregnancy weight.
Running has become a vital part of my fitness journey. I also incorporate strength and mobility training to complement my runs. With each passing year, I can honestly say that I am getting stronger and fitter.
